ATLANTA CONFERENCE KICKS OFF

Special report: Atlanta 10/10/09

With close to one hundred members in attendance, the long anticipated MECA USA reconciliation conference kicked off in grande style at the ballroom of the Rodeway Inn Marietta, GA. After a powerful prayer from Rev. Hamilton Ayuk, the Outgoing Chief of MECA Georgia, Major Fidelis Agbor welcomed attendees on behalf of the host chapter. The conference chair Sesekou Dr. David Tambe and Co-chair Ms. Adele Mbeng officially opened the event with brief remarks.

  1. I have never seen anything like this, For a Manyu conference to have gone for almost 12 hours without any one insulting another? This is phenomenal! A real conference for reconciliation! Truth was spoken and people took it the way the statements came out.
    This conference has just shown me that the Manyu people when challenged, they can rise up to it.
    Congratulations.
    I hope we have to continue with this spirit to bring back the disgruntled and disenchanted folks. I am asking them not to be in despair. I believe we have room for them too in this big Manyu umbrella.
    Manyu has risen again.
